Thomas J. Webster's (H-index: 139) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 30,000 patients. He currently serves as CSO of NOVAURUM who is pioneering the use of ALD in medical devices. He is also currently serving as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, Hebei University of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Prof. Webster is a former President of the U.S. Society for Biomaterials and has over 1,350 publications to his credit with over 55,000 citations. He was recently nominated for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Webster also recently formed a fund to support Nigerian student research opportunities in the U.S.
Rameen Shakur

Professor Rameen Shakur is an academic clinician scientist in cardiology and currently the Professor of Genomics and Precision Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Brighton. He is the Director of the Brighton Integrative Genomics (BIG) Unit and was the Founding Director of the Centre for Precision Health and Translational Medicine. Professor Shakur moved back to the UK from MIT, USA in 2022 where he was the Janson fellow for Cardiology and Regeneration at the Koch Institute and was a member of the Langer labs alumni of Prof Robert Langer at MIT in biological sciences (2016-2022). Prior to MIT, he was a Wellcome trust fellow at the Sanger Centre UK. He was the Clinical Tutor at St. John's College and the Wellcome Trust Clinical Fellow for medicine at the University of Cambridge, UK. Professor Shakur was an Isabelle Bouhon fellow in Prof George Church's lab in Harvard University where he worked on genome editing for human stem cell models. He is also the Founder and Chair of Cambridge Heartwear in 2018, an AI and medical device translational company with IP driven applications using foundational AI models and novel engineering to define cardiac risk in real time.

William C. Cho is Senior Researcher at Department of Clinical Oncology, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong, China. He is a Chartered Scientist granted by the Science Council (UK) and a fellow member of several institutes, including the Institute of Biomedical Science (UK), Hong Kong Institute of Biomedical Science, and Hong Kong Society for Molecular Diagnostic Sciences. Besides, he is also a registered Chinese medicine practitioner. Dr Cho has published more than 600 peer-reviewed papers on international academic journal papers and dozens of books covering cancer biomarkers, proteomics, and microRNAs. He serves as the editor-in-chief, editor and associate editor of a number of international medical journals. Dr Cho is also an international renowned grant reviewer of the Hope Funds for Cancer Research (USA), Cancer Research (UK), MRC Research Grant (UK), Health Research Board (Ireland), Science Foundation (Ireland), Istituto Toscano Tumori (Firenze), The Foundation Fournier-Majoie for Innovation (Brussels), National Medical Research Council (Singapore), The Medical Research Council (South Africa), and Academia Sinica Investigator Award (Taiwan), etc. And he was recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher in 2023 by Clarivate.
